Welcome to the Skype SIG home page. This is a brand new SIG and we are very excited
about leading this (ad)venture. If you are interested in joining us as we prepare this SIG

  1. You can download Skype for FREE at www.skype.com.

  2. Technology requirements: Internet (DSL or Cable) connection plus microphone and speakers.
    If these are built into your computer, you should be fine. Otherwise, you can get a very
    inexpensive Skype ear bud and microphone combo at Radio Shack for about ten bucks. If
    you want "the best," then you can get a headset with attached microphone that blocks
    external noise.

  4. While we might schedule a periodic face-to-face meeting, most of our meetings will be
    online. When we do host face-to-face meetings, we will be sure that we have a great
    Skype connection for those who cannot attend.

NOW - January and early February: Please be sure you have activated your Skype account.
If your Skype ID does not appear in the above list, please email it to Romeo so
it can be added to this Web page. February 10-21: Romeo will be teaching a media course in
at an American School in Kuwait. Please let him know if you would like to establish a Skype
connection with a teacher at that school. Be sure to specify your grade level. Also - the Skype
co-leaders will be getting together soon to develop an action plan for this SIG beyond February.
